Summer is quickly approaching, which means almost every collegiette is preparing her summer concert rounds. The anticipation of finding out which top music artists will be hitting a city near you is only comparable to the newest Twilight movie promo pictures leaking one by one. It’s just that exciting. This spring has undoubtedly been the come back season of the legendary Britney Spears, who announced a national tour to accompany her seventh album release. Nicki Minaj has signed on for the tour along with Jessie & the Toy Boys – let the dance party begin.

Jessie Malakouti, front-runner of the band, hasn’t always had it easy when it comes to music. She moved out of her house at age 16 to pursue her entertainment career. The dynamic damsel took to the Los Angeles club scene with her rock diva style. However, she quickly found her true calling in hybrid pop. Super stardom is just around the corner for Jessie and the Toy Boys when “Femme Fatale” kicks off in June.
Â
Jessie and the Toy Boys’ first single, “Push It” featuring Yelawolf is a dance floor dominator. Jessie’s sexy Gwen Stefani-esque voice crooning over punk rock 80s inspired pop alongside smashing synthesized beats makes “Push It” the perfect pop potion. Jessie plans to get everyone out to the discos as she sings, “This is how/ Rumors start/ Sex drugs rock n roll/ Everybody lose control.” The track has already left its mark on the dance music charts. The music video for the track reveals Jessie’s unbelievable blond bombshell look, which even makes laundry seem fun. The rock-and-roll 80s pin up look is the perfect showcase of her vibrant style as an artist. She even busts a move through the aisle. Why can’t laundry rooms at DePauwty be this fun?
