Sorority Girl DEPAUWblems: SMH, like, where da #DietCoke at?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at DePauw chapter.

Upon our return to DePauw’s lovely campus this fall, we senior girls couldn’t help but notice a few big changes had taken place since we’d left this spring.  Rumors of a possible Coke ban had whirled across Facebook and Twitter over the summer, yet somehow the overabundance of Pepsi paraphernalia strewn about the Hub still left us utterly stunned.  Needless to say, the female Coke addicts on this campus are not too happy about the switch. If you are not feeling the effects of the Coke ban yet, just wait. Female Coke addicts in withdrawal are not a pretty sight, and for those without a car or means of getting their daily dosage, this is exactly what’s been happening. The usual peppy demeanors and lively spirits of women on campus are sure to suffer.  You can probably expect twice the sass and half the patience.  Teachers, beware of getting a female student’s name wrong during this difficult time.

As furious as we are about the recent ban, this Coke crisis is not the only thing troubling us since being back.  Another very important and equally disturbing issue has been on our minds. Feathers.  Much deliberating has gone into deciding whether or not to feather. For instance, do boys think they’re cool or weird? Will my teachers think I’m a hippie/druggie? Would I look like a follower or super cool? It’s been a long time since we’ve been faced with such a difficult choice.  Nike shoes, on the other hand, now that’s a trend we can definitely get on board with.
