Service is spreading across DePauw’s campus this Spring. On this past Sunday, DePauw students were found clearing out garlic mustard in the Nature Park, spreading mulch at Robe Ann Park and working at Camp Friend helping to start up the camp again! This is what happens when DePauw students come together to help a good cause. We appreciate the Greencastle community and everything they have given to us. So, why not do a little to help them out? It’s important to help out more than helping the Greencastle economy through buying weekly Marv’s.
Think community service is boring? There are fun ways to help out “the Castle” that doesn’t have to be manual labor. DePauw Community Service put on their first annual Campus Golf Tournament this past Sunday. This tournament was to help raise money for the ever-needy community service clubs on campus. Looks like DePauw students are taking the Greencastle community by storm. Hopefully, this will lead to only good things ahead.
DePauw Students enjoy helping pulled various plants in the Nature Park.
Other students helped mulch the playground.
Camp Friend is trying to restart and DePauw students are right there behind them helping pave the way to a successful new beginning.
Children appreciate the help DePauw students provided to their favorite park.
So, get out into the community, DePauw. DePauw students enjoyed helping and meeting local children during their day of service.
