Spring
Spring is here,
The grass is green,
The flowers have bloomed,
And the dandelions have appeared.
Dandelions line the pathways to classes,
Surviving through the many storms-
-that the Spring has brought.
They appeared one morning,
Completely covering-
-all grass in sight.
Their bright yellow fades
To white fibers that blow through the winds.
They persist through all,
Taking over campus as they proliferate.
The weeds have no clemency,
As they push the flowers out of the way.
Spring is here,
The temperature has risen,
The sun shines bright,
And the dandelions have won.
