A Star is Born

I watched this movie pretty late compared to others, but here is a short review from a summary of the movie, acting, soundtrack, and last opinion.  I could go more in depth, but then this article would be forever long.

Summary:

A singer finishes a concert and goes to a bar where he finds talent in a woman.  They spend the night together and create a bond with music. He asks her to perform a song they wrote that night at one of his concerts that he flies her too.  They go on tour together and it’s basically a movie of romance and drama.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Acting:

The main two actors in this movie was Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.  An actor and singer, both with a connection that was raw and realistic.  They matched their characters very well and definitely did not lose focus.  Bradley Cooper played his alcoholic character with precision, although personally, I was not a fan of the long hair.  Lady Gaga used her natural beauty in her character and that was one of my favorite aspects of her character and the French song she sang at the beginning in the bar.

Rating: 3 out of 5

Soundtrack:

I loved the song “Always Remember Us This Way” which was not the theme song, but it was raw and more touching than Shallow.  The soundtrack was definitely good, except when Lady Gaga sang solo in the movie and not on tour with Bradley Cooper.

Rating: 4 out of 5

Overall, my rating for this movie was a 3 out of 5 due to some parts of the movie I was not a fan of.  The color they changed her hair too was horrific and I loved the part about her nose when they first met.  I would watch this movie again, but I feel as though it was a little over advertised since it was not what I expected.  The ending was definitely unexpected and I do suggest if you like movies that are around music then you should watch this movie.
