Meet HC Dickinson’s Senior Editor, Alex Loh!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Dickinson chapter.

Name: Alex Loh

Class Year: 2019

Major: English

HC: How did you choose your major?

AL: I have loved reading since I was a kid so it was a natural choice to become an English major. I love reading a book and understanding how it can affect people. There are so many layers in a novel and I love getting to analyze them.

HC: What are you involved in?

AL: I am involved in Kappa Alpha Theta and Her Campus!

HC: What exactly is it that you do as the senior editor for HC Dickinson?

AL: As Her Campus’s Editor, I read over articles every week making sure they are in the best condition possible before we share them with our readers!

HC: Did you study abroad?

AL: I studied abroad in Norwich, England for my junior year. I had an amazing time immersing myself in a new culture and taking classes at a big university. I also loved getting to travel around Europe with my friends. This past year is something I will always remember and would do again in a heartbeat.

HC: What is a good memory you have from your time at Dickinson?

AL: A fun memory from my time at Dickinson would be from earlier this year. My roommates and I went to the sunflower farm near by and had a great time. As we drove, we rolled the windows down and played some old school Taylor Swift, always fun!

HC: What is one thing people don’t know about you?

AL: One thing people don’t know about me is that I don’t know how to ride a bike! I tried learning when I was a kid and then again when I was in high school, but it never stuck. Oh well, maybe third time’s a charm.

HC: What is one piece of advice you would give to first year students?

AL: My advice to first years would be to take any class that interests you, even if it seems daunting. There is no better time than right now to figure out what you’re interested in and there are so many classes at Dickinson to choose from. You never know what you’ll end up loving!
