We’re nearing the end of the fall quarter, and that means it’s time to register for next term’s courses! For many this is a fun and exciting process, but for freshman, it’s unexplored territory. This can be both thrilling and terrifying at the same time. Here are some thoughts every freshman has while registering for the first time.
1. What’s the minimum number of credits again?
2. I honestly have no clue what I’m doing.
3. I wonder how much I could pay someone to do this for me if I had money.
4. I wonder if my advisor would notice if I took dance instead of math…
5. Why are there so many numbers!?
6. Praying for no class on Fridays!
7. My time ticket is horrible so I have to make three backup schedules.
8. Why is every appealing course labeled ‘No Freshman’?
9. How long until I’m a senior?
10. So this Co-op 101 thing just magically appears?
11. Okay, if I start class at 9:30 every day I’ll have enough time to do my hair and possibly even feed myself…
Although registration is stressful the first time around, it’s a learning experience. Just think, there’s a first time for everything and it’ll never be as difficult as the first time! When spring term rolls around you’ll know exactly what a CRN is and how to navigate DegreeWorks (hopefully)!
