Many Asian celebrities nowadays are admired for not only their talent, but also for their beautiful and flawless skin! You, too, can have gorgeous skin. Here are six Asian skin care tips that you can incorporate into your daily routine.

1. Paper masks

Asian paper facemasks have been all the buzz lately because they’re packed with healthy nutrients and are heavily infused with serum to provide your skin with hydration and detoxify. Masks come in individual packets and are very handy to have on-the-go. Sephora has a huge variety of masks for moisturizing, toning, blemish removal, brightening, and many more benefits for your skin. The best part is that all you have to do is gently apply the mask to your face while you lay back, relax, and listen to some soothing tunes!

2. Good nutrition and hydration

No matter what culture you’re from or what ethnicity you are, it is no secret that the key to perfect skin is practicing clean eating and hydrating your body. Fruits and vegetables hold many vitamins and minerals, such as calcium, iron, and Vitamin C that work to help make you strong and well. To ensure that you’re getting enough water, pick up one of these cute water bottles from Blogilates to remind you to drink up every hour! Smoothies are also a great way to pack your diet with yummy fruits and veggies to fuel your energy for the day and help with clearing your skin!

3. Remove your makeup

To keep your skin at its best, it is crucial that you remove your makeup every night before you go to bed. Wiping away all the leftover concealer, eyeshadow, sweat, and dead skin cells will leave your face feeling refreshed and let it breathe. While you sleep, you produce new skin cells, and a face full of makeup will make that process more difficult. So do your skin a favor by washing your face completely at night!

4. Eye cream

It’s no secret that college kids get little to no sleep, so it’s important to keep the area around your eyes looking healthy and bright! In the Asian culture, much emphasis is placed on eliminating dark, puffy circles. To combat dark circles, eye creams are used – just dab a bit under the delicate sections of the eyes. Doing this will help firm, brighten, and hydrate your skin and make your eyes twinkle!

5. Sunscreen

As much as we love the sun, protection against it is the best measure to take while being outside! Whether you’re at the beach or taking a walk on a winter day (UV rays are still powerful even in the cold weather!), apply a layer of sunscreen to the parts of your body that will be exposed, especially your face and lips. Go with a bottle of SPF 50 or above to get the best protection against the sun and help prevent skin cancer.

6. Massaging your face

Giving your face a nice massage right before your cleanse your skin will get the blood vessels flowing and brighten you up! With clean hands, start by gently massaging in a circular motion on your cheeks, move up to your forehead area, and then back down to your chin. This feel-good method will keep your skin young and healthy and also save you money by skipping a trip to the spa!
