Every year, we see dozens upon dozens of Halloween costumes for couples—prisoner and police, ketchup and mustard, Kim and Kanye—you know the deal. Mario and Luigi have been our favorite virtual brothers for over a decade! 3. Nerds Candy You and the bestie are always connected at the hip. You’re like two peas in a pod or two nerds in a box! So, why not have a costume that shows that to the world? All you need is a piece of cardboard and some markers to replicate the signature candy box that we know and love from childhood. You could also use two separate pieces of cardboard to make the box appear to be cut down the middle, in case you don’t want to literally be attached at the hip all night.
4. Spongebob and Patrick Ah, the classic best friend duo. Spongebob and Patrick taught us to always be ourselves, no matter how weird things got and you would someday find someone who appreciates and reciprocates your weirdness. For this, you can either make your own costumes or buy one! Walmart has a variety of Spongebob and Patrick costumes to choose from.
5. Thing 1 and Thing 2 AKA Thing 1 and Chocolate Thunda. This outfit idea is perfect if you and your BFF are always energetic and hyper. My best friend and I did this senior year with Thing 1 and Thing 2 T-shirts, crazy socks and blue clip-in extensions. Amazon has tons of affordable options to choose from.
6. Blue and Magenta One thing holds true about Halloween in the Northeast—it’s always going to be cold (TBT to when it literally snowed in 2011). So if you want to stay warm, cozy, and comfy—this is the costume for you! You can purchase blue and pink onesies and add ears to be Blue and Magenta from Blue’s Clues (talk about a throwback!).
