An Easy Valentine’s Day Dinner

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. There is nothing better than spending a romantic dinner with your significant other, but the truth is, going to a restaurant can be a hassle. Restaurants are crowded and you may feel rushed as more people flow in. But you don’t need a restaurant to have a romantic evening; you just need a kitchen and motivation to cook this easy pasta dinner.

Salad

Ingredients

For dressing:1/3 cup of olive oil4 tsp of lemon juice6 tsp of water1.5 tsp of honeyDash of salt1/2 tsp of mustardPepper to taste

For salad:Green leavesCranberriesCherry tomatoesSliced mushroomsToasted almonds

How to:

For dressing: Mix all ingredients together until it’s well-blended

For salad: Mix all in a bowl and add dressing

Garlic Bread

IngredientsFresh Italian bread½ cup of unsalted butter1 clove of GarlicOreganoParmesan Cheese

How to:

1.     Preheat the oven to 350 F.2.     Slice the bread vertically.3.     Put some tin foil on a tray and place the slices of bread on it4.     Chop the garlic clove into small pieces5.     Melt the butter in the microwave-safe bowl. Mix butter and garlic together.6.     Spread the mixture on the bread slices and add a little oregano and parmesan cheese.7.     Cook in the oven for 6-8 minutes

Pasta al Fileto

Ingredients1 box of spaghetti4  large tomatoes4 tsp of olive oil2 cloves of garlic1 tsp of dried oreganoBasil leavesPepper and saltParmesan cheese

How to:

1. Boil pasta in water for 7-8 minutes (or follow instructions in the box)2. In a pan over medium heat add olive oil and cook the garlic until it is golden3. Slice the tomatoes and add the slices to the pan and cook for about two minutes.4. Add basil leaves and oregano and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste.5. Serve in a pasta bowl and top with parmesan cheese

For dessert I recommend keeping it simple with your favorite ice cream and assorted toppings.
