Name:Â Christine Chang
Year:Â Freshman
Major/Minor:Â International business major, German Minor
Role at HC Drexel:Â writer
Â
Why did you choose Drexel University?
The co-op program was the biggest factor in my decision. I wanted the real-world experience that co-ops offer, while also attending a regular university. I also love living in the city, so Philadelphia was perfect for me.Â
What is your career goal?
My career goal to travel for work, hopefully for a fashion company. Hopefully, I’ll also be able to live in Berlin (hence the German minor).
Favorite place to go to in Philadelphia?
Penn’s Landing is beautiful in the summer. At Penn’s Landing, there are outdoor movie showings, hammocks, beautiful string lights. Food trucks line the boardwalk, and there is usually live music. When I was there, there was also a carnival.
Hobbies?
Photography. I’m not very good at it, but I will never say no to a photo shoot. I also really like to write (obviously), and of course, traveling is a must.
Favorite class at Drexel?
I guess this answer depends on your major, but for business majors, I highly suggest the Global Classroom. It’s a substitute for your Foundations of Business I and II, and it also gives you an opportunity to work with students abroad.
Favorite songs?
Chill: Sin City by Chrishan
Dance: Danza Kudoro by Don Omar
Sad: Malibu Nights by LANY
Pop: Mama by Jonas Blue, William Singe
Throwback: Down by Jay Sean
Rap: Uproar by Lil Wayne, Swiz Beatz
Favorite Movie?
Dead Poets SocietyÂ
Favorite TV Shows?
Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Grey’s Anatomy, New Girl
Advice for incoming freshmen?
Take advantage of all of your opportunities. In college, anything is possible, and it’s just a matter of getting yourself out there.
What would you say to someone who wanted to join Her Campus?
Do it! It’s a lot of fun. You meet a lot of really great people, and it gives you an opportunity to write about anything! I’ve only been here for a little, but I can’t wait to continue writing for HC throughout my college career.Â
