The oversized coat trend has taken everyone by storm…literally. Can’t figure out if you should jump on it? Glance at these looks.
The Blazer
Dressy, classy, goes casual. We love playing up the outfits vibes this season, like white pants during winter? Fine. Hailey Bieber is owning this look. A little oversize goes a long way and is actually very flattering. Grab your dad’s blazer or grab one from the thrift. This blazer instantly dresses up the whole comfy cute pieces. Throw on your Air Force 1’s or FILA dad sneakers. This might not be so fitting for 9-degree weather, but when it gets warmer, make this outfit your go to. Either running errands, to the library or grabbing coffee, this is a cool-girl take on the oversized blazer.

Ankle Length Teddy
We are obsessing over the warm teddy texture this winter, and not over it yet. Ditch the short silhouette and try on a duster length teddy coat! You could use this as a very versatile jacket. Either serve looks with your jogger co-ord, or date night LBD. This material will always ensure you leisure and luxury. A neutral color is comfortable, while it stands out of the crowd when paired with all black underneath. Oversized coats with a hood? Done deal. You will be forever warm in a jacket like this one, and it screams major blogger status.

Sporty
Sport spice is all the rage right now! Why not look fresh and be comfy. Big sneakers, jogger pants, and crop tops are only missing one thing: the oversized puffer. Brands upon brands are going off of this structure, and it’s my absolute favorite. Either go duster or cropped, this jacket is flattering on everyone. Super into colors? Catch yourself repping a trendy neon or classic primary color. You will be the forever IT girl trending this new style whether it’s on the streets of a major city or in your small hometown.

Shearling Aviator
Vintage goes modern. Along with the teddy, shearling is an ultra-comforting fur, especially for the lining of a huge jacket. This vibe screams casual cool biker chick, with a super edgy look. A powder blue is girly, flattering, but different. If you are more on the neutral side, you will be able to find this style in more subtle colors. Going for a vintage look, rock the classic brown leather and cream shearling combination. Switch it up and look for a groovier feel with a printed lining like cheetah or leopard.

From bomber to peacoat, the jacket styles are endless. You can either take a subtle or bold approach in style, with either materials or color story. We don’t know how long the oversized jacket trend will stay around for, but we are currently so here for it. Who knows? Skinny jeans and slim fit shirts might be out of our closet before you know it. Bigger the better…but not too big.
