Welcome, first years, and welcome back to the rest of the DU student body!
The sun is shining, no homework is looming, and there are a lot of confused parents looking for the bookstore.
We all know what time of year it is: O Week!
While O Week technically stands for Orientation Week, at HerCampus, we’re rebranding it as Opportunity Week.
For the first years, it is a time of excitement, change, and newfound freedom. Friendships will be forged, Sodexo omelet orders will be perfected, and they’ll get their first taste of college life.
For the rest of us old-timers, it’s a time to catch up with our college gang, fight for street parking, and reminisce on our fading youth (Looking at you, seniors.)
At Her Campus, we’re excited that this school term not only brings an opportunity week but an opportunity year. Last year, we were able to not only become an official club on campus (see ya @ the Pioneer Carnival!) but rank in the top 30% of Her Campus chapters internationally.
This week during our “Countdown to Classes” we’re re-sharing some of our old favorite school-related content to help you put your best foot forward.
So join that club. Take an interesting class. Change your major five times.
It’s the time of opportunity after all.
Have a fantastic year! We’re looking forward to seeing you on campus.
