1476 South Pearl Street is no stranger to the Denver community. With its bright colors and warm atmosphere, it is no surprise that their environment is a prime studying site or a gathering place for local characters. On top of it all, their coffee single-handedly keeps the DU campus running.
I will be the first to admit it: I am a fiend for a good coffee shop. I mean, who loves nothing more than to catch up with friends over a latte? When I heard about Stella’s, this small local shop conveniently located only 1.2 miles from campus, I had to check it out. Maybe Stella’s has become my second home. Only the baristas would be able to confirm the rumors.
You are immediately greeted by a small blue and yellow house in all its charm. Their new spring menu is proudly displayed outside with specials such as “The Dew Drop,” a vanilla and raspberry latte, the “As You Wish,” a rose and white chocolate mocha, and “The Garden Party,” a lavender, rose, and vanilla Italian soda mix for non-coffee lovers. With their menu changing with the seasons, Stella’s always has new surprises in store for regular customers. In addition, Stella’s is home to a variety of pastries, all locally baked, such as the classic blueberry muffin, cream cheese cronuts, and danishes. All customers are bounder to find their new favorite sweet at this charming store.
This small house has become my go-to study spot, my best morning coffee talk location with the girls, and, thus far, my most comforting location in Denver. Who knows, maybe you will find your next favorite drink at Stella’s.
