Hello Everyone!

If, like me, you’ve ever felt lost when it comes to the multitude of Skin Care products on the market, look no further!

Consider this your cheat sheet Night Routine (let’s be honest, mornings are already stressful enough!). I’ve adapted from Caroline Hirons Format (Skin Care Goddess) to more affordable products! http://www.carolinehirons.com/2013/06/routines-cheat-sheet.html

Before we begin, here are 2 Reasons to have a Regular Skin Care Routine:

  1. Leaving Make-up on over Night accelerates the process of ageing
  2. Residue Make-up can clog up your pores and encourage acne/spots

Stage 1: Oil-Based Cleanser

This is essential if you are wearing makeup on the daily. The oil strips through your face cake and leaves you with a good start to clearing away the gunk.

I Use: The Body Shop’s Camomile Cleansing Butter (£10)

Stage 2: Micellar Water with Cotton Pad

Using a cotton pad with Micellar Water to remove the oil-based cleanser is a really easy way to remove and residue make-up. I normally do this twice!

I Use: Garnier’s Skin Naturals (£4.99)

Stage 3: Eye Make-up Remover (for Eyeliner)

This is an optional stage for when you have waterproof mascara/eyeliner that won’t budge.

I Use: Lancome’s Bi-facil Waterproof Remover (£21.50) (Lasts forever!)

Stage 4: Alcohol-Free Toner with Cotton Pad

Not only is toner extremely satisfying for cleansing the skin, it’s also really good for stripping residue oil that can lead to spots. I recommend alcohol-free because it’s gentler on the skin.

I Use: The Body Shop’s Calming Aloe Toner (£7.00)

Stage 5: Facial Oil or Serum

Facial Oil/Serum is my new favourite way to treat my skin. It replenishes the residue oil we stripped from toning, moisturises and balances your skin.

Yes, you can get a ridiculously expensive facial oil, but there’s nothing wrong with using the Olive oil or Coconut oil in your cupboard as well!

Top Tip: Apply Oil all over your body to fight against the cold!

I Use:

Stage 6: Night Time Moisturisers

If you decide not to apply a facial oil/serum, this is an essential for looking after your skin. There’s a reason everybody swears by it.

Personally, my eyes are sensitive so I like to target them specifically.

I Use:

Don’t forget nobody’s perfect! But we can all aim to improve our skin to some extent.

There’s no better way to get ready for bed, in my opinion.
