This past Wednesday on September 18th, Apple released the new operating system iOS7 to the public. Many Collegiettes were very excited about the release and had been waiting for this day for months. Apple bragged about many new features before the release and also released the newest edition of the iPhone device itself. The new features included the new iTunes radio which is very similar in use to Pandora. Complete with a new look, the interface and text type keyboards have new color and new icon images. Here is what some Collegiettes had to say about the new iOS7. The majority of reviews were favorable; however there were a few Collegiettes who mentioned disappointment in features such as being confusing, the calendar not being available in a year view, and hard to learn in the begining. It has also been cited to look more feminine instead of gender neutral and some say the interface looks out of date. However, positive reviews have included that it looks very sleek, new and fun, easy to use, more fun and interactive, and those with iPhone 5 have Airdrop (which allows you to select documents and images to someones icon to their Airdrop to share content instantly without using text messages or email). Apple Stock has not reflected the change as well as expected. While many have downloaded the software, many have not been interested or blatantly not willing to download the new software until it is absolutely necessary. We will be watching to see how the new devices and new software are accepted by the general public.
