ISIS Attacks in Tunisia Museum: 9 arrestedÂ
ISIS has claimed full responsibility for the attack on a Tunisian Museum on Wednesday. It was a deadly terrorist attack, a mass shooting, in a Tunisian museum in city of Tunis. This “landmark museum” is located in the heart of the country’s capital.
ISIS has identified two men, Abu Zakariya al-Tunisi and Abu Anas al-Tunisi, who used “automatic weapons and hand grenades”, as responsible for killing. The warning from ISIS says that this is, “just the start” and there has been a fair warning. Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebsi said that “terrible explosives were found on these (attackers) and they didn’t have time to use them.”
9 people were arrested in connection with this attack on Wednesday. Tunisian Prime Minister, Habib Essid, identified two suspects, Yassine Labidi and Saber Khachnaou. Some of the people that were killed were foreigners cruising around the area. It was a very sad day in Tunis for many locals. “They hit the heart of our livelihood,” said Mohammed Ali Troudi, a taxi driver in Tunis.
