Valentine’s Day Craft!
Once again my obsession with Pinterest has gotten the best of me. I was looking through the Holidays category and found a simple decoration that is pretty easy to make. It’s a paper heart garland that you can pretty much put anywhere you’d like. Did I also mention how simple and easy it is to make?!
Here’s what the finished product looks like.
To start off you need:
1. Paper
2. Scissors
3. Stapler
First start of by cutting the paper into about one inch wide strips, lengthwise down the paper. After that, fold all the strips in half; it should look something like this:
Once you have the strips folded take two of them and place the folds inside one another like so:
Then staple the two together, I found that the farther away from the fold that you staple, the more the heart keeps its shape–especially if you make a really long strand of garland.
Next take the outer strip, in this case the pink paper, and bend down the ends till they meet, and then place the next strip with the ends inside the fold and staple.
Then continue this process until you reach your desired length. Hang your garland up somewhere, and enjoy! Have a happy Valentine’s Day!
