To my college best friends,
I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me 2 years ago I would have met some of the most amazing people in my life. From the beginning of my freshman year to now, I have been surrounded with nothing but support from each and every person I have grown close to during my time here. While I haven’t known you for a long time, I couldn’t be more thankful for everything we have been through together so far.
Thank you for not questioning the 3 slices of pizza on my plate at 2am.
I don’t know what I would do if I had friends who judged me every time I drunkenly ate pizza with a side of ranch (aka every night out). What’s even better is that you guys are right by my side eating just the same amount.
Thank you for picking me up from class when I’m too lazy to walk the half of a mile back to my apartment
I know this is a common occurrence for you guys because I’m well, lazy, but just know my legs and I both really appreciate it. You don’t know how far a half a mile is until you’re hung over and need your bed… or a trash can.
Thank you for keeping me sane from the all-nighters in the library.
I’ll admit it. If it weren’t for you, I would have failed out of school a long time ago. There is nothing like an empty, lonely library at 3am to make me call a quits. Without you there too, I’d be book bag in hand sprinting back to my apartment in tears.
Thank you for calling a “GNO” (Girls Night Out) when I’m upset over a boy.
There is no better cure than being at a pre-game with all of your girl friends jamming to Miley Cyrus without a care in the world when you are upset over a boy. I’m so thankful that you guys understand that and care about my happiness day in and day out.
Thank you for letting me order the grossest sandwiches from Sheetz when I’m coming home from the bar.
Actually… screw you guys for this one. I guess it calls for funny stories in the future, but definitely not the morning after. *GAG*
Last but not least, thank you for being my rocks, my support system, and my happiness here at school while I am 8 hours away from home.
While I have dealt with being sick, boyfriend issues, family illnesses, and even deaths, none of you have left my side. From freshman year to now, whenever I had a problem, I always know I can count on you to come over with Chipotle in hand. You have each helped me establish my life here at ECU, and I am forever grateful for the impact you have left on my heart (I’ll see ya’ll in my wedding some day).
