Take a study break this weekend and enjoy the Holiday season. There is so much to do around the Elon and REsearch Triangle to celebrate the holidays and release some stress.

-
Go Ice Skating
Nothing says the holidays like ice! Grab a pair of skates and find a rink to enjoy time with friends. Even more fun if you or your friends are awful at skating!
-
Christmas Balls at Sunset Hills
A beautiful neighborhood in Greensboro has been decorating with intense lights for decades. It’s a bit of a drive but a nice way to get in the holiday spirit and get off campus for a study break. This is at the top of my list!
-
Grab friends and drive around Burlington to all sorts of lights
Sometimes driving around can be a great stress reliever and a time to spend with friends. During the holidays, it’s a festive way to see the area as most neighborhoods are lit up at night.
-
Make hot chocolate
Have something festive to sip on while you study!
-
Gift unwrapping contest
For your secret santa unveiling with your friends add a little challenge in there. Wrap all the gifts in wrapping paper and make the person getting the gift wear oven mitts as they try to unwrap it first!
-
Christmas Karaoke song with friends
Everyone loves a good Christmas song. Grab some friends and pull up some karaoke youtube videos to belt your hearts out to some Christmas jams to release some exam stress. If you’re bold enough, take the karaoke outside and make it caroling.
-
Give back
Giving back is always good, but around the holidays it seems extra special. At the Chic-fil-a’s near Elon’s campus, you can adopt a child and buy a little holiday gift for them. It will surely make their morning when they open up a present off of their list!
-
Christmas Cookies
Fun times and a delicious outcome! Who can say no to this?
-
Binge watch Hallmark Christmas Movies
Some of the Netflix Christmas movies are perfectly horrendous.
10. Finish off any holiday shopping you have left!
Don’t leave anyone off of your list!
