North Carolina-based Clothing Company on “Shark Tank”

Frill Clothing, a Raleigh-based clothing company focusing on sorority recruitment, has not only appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” but also has a $100,000 deal with shark investors Barbara Corcoran and Kevin O’Leary. Following shark conflict over a share of Frill Clothing, founders, Sharon Bui and Kate Steadman, decided to sell 30 percent of their company to Corcoran and O’Leary.

The 23-year-olds’ started the company when they were just 19-years-old and still enrolled at college. According to the Triangle Business Journal, the company made more than $400,000 in sales before appearing on “Shark Tank.”

 

The NC-based company has clothing for occasions ranging from sorority recruitment, to weddings, to everyday wear. They also have diverse jewelry and home décor collections.

 

According to their company website, Frill Clothing “prides itself on strengthening women across the world, through confidence and personality,” but also understand the “need for individualism within the Greek community”
