Every year the Emmy’s brings out the best in television stars, and as with every award show, the best and worst of fashion. This year, some actresses dazzled on the red carpet while others fell short.
BEST DRESSED
(left to right) Michelle Dockery, Allison Williams, Kaley Cuoco, Taylor Schilling
Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery was ravishing in a two-tone Prada gown and Fred Leighton jewels. The two-tone trend was seen by plenty of celebrities (and it’s huge for fall!) on the red-carpet at the Emmy’s and Michelle pulled it off perfectly!
Girls star Allison Williams wore a strapless Ralph Lauren dress, Roger Vivier shoes, Christian Louboutin clutch, and Fred Leighton jewels. The deep cerulean-blue gown flattered her complexion and paired perfectly with her effortless waves.
Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco wore a strapless Vera Wang gown, Aldo heels, Jimmy Choo ‘Cayla’ clutch, and Neil Lane jewelry. Her plum gown played up her bust line with the sheer bodice detailing and contrasted with the tulle ruffle bottom beautifully.
Orange is the New Black star Taylor Schilling is stunning in a white Thakoon dress, Stuart Weitzman ’Nudist’ sandals, Neil Lane cuff, Jorges Adeler ring, Marina B earrings, and an Amanda Pearl clutch. The high-slit on this cream column gown worked perfectly at showing off her awesome legs and custom sandals!
WORST DRESSED
(left to right) Julianne Hough, Lily Rabe, Mayim Bialik, Lena Dunham
Julianne Hough took a red-carpet risk with a sheer Jenny Packham gown, Jimmy Choo shoes, David Yurman jewelry, and a Swarovski ‘Opus’ clutch that was reminiscent of a bathing suit cover-up gone wrong.
American Horror Story star Lily Rabe wore a two-toned asymmetrical Vionnet dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, Calvin Klein clutch, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. The white and off-white dress and accessories didn’t work with her old-Hollywood style hair and dark lips.
Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik was too matchy-matchy in an emerald-green Oliver Tolentino Couture mermaid gown, Swarovski ‘Kiosque’ clutch, Takat ring, and Bellarri earrings.
Girls actress, creator, and producer Lena Dunham wore an unflattering Prada dress and Prada shoes with Neil Lane jewelry with color-coordinated eye shadow to boot.
