What is MANE Access and how did you get involved with them?

MANE Access is a branch of MANE which is the new name for Emertainment Monthly’s Multimedia Department. I became involved with MANE Access because I was apart of the club last year. I was a co-host on a web show called “Emertainment Minute.” Because of the rebranding of the club, the past shows were scrapped and I had to re-audition to be apart of the new shows offered with MANE. MANE Access is one of the new shows that focuses on entertainment news.

How did you realize you wanted to do your own web show?

I realized I wanted to do my own web show because I grew up watching Youtube creators. To this day I keep up with YouTubers who have created content for more than 10 years. I love being an audience member, but was always interested in being on the other side of the screen. Last year I heard about what this club had to offer and realized I wanted to be a web show host.

How does your job as executive marketing director intertwine with your web show?

My job as an executive marketing director intertwines with my web show because it is my job to obtain an audience for all of the web shows that MANE creates. I have an IDIP that is part marketing so I wanted to expand my opportunities within this club that I love being apart of.

What is your web show (going to be) about?

My web show is going to be about news in the entertainment world. We will most likely make content talking about movies, tv, music, celebrities, books and any entertainment content that is being put into the world.

What made you want to be the Social Media Chair for Alpha Epsilon Phi?

I wanted to be the Social Media Chair for Alpha Epsilon Phi because I have always had an interest in social media. I personally have many social media accounts that I love creating content for. I wanted to create that same content to an audience that is apart and interested in an organization. I knew that I would have the ability to re-learn how to use social media on a larger platform that can prepare me for the ways that social media is used in the career world.

How does your background in marketing help you with your position in the sorority?

My background in marketing helps me with my position in my sorority because I can relay the information that I’m learning in my classes to the social media accounts I use for my sorority. I am able to use real-life data from the AEPhi accounts in my marketing classes to further understand marketing strategies and using social media as a marketing platform.

What is your favorite thing about being Social Media Chair?

My favorite thing about being Social Media Chair is the positive feedback I have heard from sisters of my organization, people who are not in our organization, and my family and friends. I was told that a potential new member became interested in my sorority because of the presence of our social media accounts and that is such an amazing compliment that makes me want to create more content for my amazing organization.
