If you go to school at Emerson and enjoy Rocky Horror, then chances are you have been to one of the midnight showings put on by the Full Body Cast at the AMC Loews Theatre on the Common.
It’s always a fun time with hilarious pre-shows and an amazing cast. Although, I may be biased, because I joined the cast about a month ago! At the point I joined, I was just in time to participate in our crazy Halloween shows.
For Halloween weekend, instead of the usual midnight start with one funny sketch before, we started at 11:30 p.m. with a costume contest and a whole slew of amazing pre-shows. The pre-shows ranged from “Hieee” to “Toxic” to “Break Free” and incorporated the entire cast and crew (including me!). While many were just a few actors/crew, “Die Young” included a video of the entire cast followed by everyone running on stage and through the aisles of the theater. We spent weeks practicing in order to make the holiday a hit!
Here, check out our opener (Warning: swearing)!
I thought it was pretty great, how about you?
Our Halloween shows were definitely a hit with both Friday night, Oct. 30, and Saturday night, Oct. 31, selling out days before! We moved from our typical Theater 11 to the largest theater in the venue, Theater 16. We will be returning to our regular theater this week but it was definitely a fun adventure to learn how to work around a completely different theater.
If you can join us any weekend coming soon, come say hi! Maybe join us next Halloween?
