Meet ECHabitat for Humanity team member Sean Walsh!

Class Year: 2016

Major: Psychology

Her Campus at Emmanuel: What made you choose to join EC Habitat?

Sean Walsh: I wanted a new experience helping people

HCE: What are you most looking forward to on the spring break trip?

SW: The landscape and environment

HCE: What does it mean to you to know that you are making a difference in someone’s life?

SW: I’ll come back from this trip knowing I spent my time wisely and productively. It’s easy to abandon responsibility for a week over spring break, but I’d rather be faced with a challenge.

HCE: What is your favorite thing to do (or what you hope to do) on the build?

SW: Physically build the house (i.e. woodwork, sawing, etc.)

HCE: Favorite memory with EC Habitat?

SW: Making good friends

HCE: What is a mantra or quote that you live by?

SW: “You are what you is.”

Sammy is a senior at Emmanuel College, majoring in English: Communications & Media Studies with a minor in Music-Theater. She discovered Her Campus through College Fashion Week: Boston, and has since re-launched Emmanuel's chapter and become a National Intern. On campus, Sammy gives weekly tours as an Admissions Ambassador, is a member of the Honors Program and stars in an as many theatrical productions as possible. She was also an Orientation Leader for the Class of 2019. Outside of school, she works as a sales associate at Charlotte Russe and manages a personal style blog called Backyard Beauty. An obsessive organizer, social media addict and fashion maven, Sammy dreams of living a lavish life as a magazine contributor in New York City after graduation.
