Last week, I attended Emmanuel College’s first theater production of the fall semester. It was called “Theatre Macabre: Seance.” It appeared to take place before the 21st century. There was so much to it! There were fancy gowns, diverse characters, and even a cowgirl which was unexpected on my part! To add to the list, there was dancing and even spirits that spoke to some of the characters about their past. It was quite remarkable. To put it into simple terms I didn’t like it… but I LOVED it! I have done plays and musical performances as a kid as well as seen Broadway shows, but this is what I’d consider THEATER!! I’ve never experienced a show such as this. I’ll be sure to return to a future production when the time comes.
