1. Top of the Hub
Not all us have a plane to see Boston from an aerial view, but we do have the Prudential’s restaurant, Top of the Hub. Most college students can’t necessarily afford to eat at the up-scale restaurant, but the second best thing is to go one level lower to the Skywalk Observatory. About 52 floors about Boston, the 360-degree observation deck gives Instagram addicts, like myself, the opportunity to capture beautiful and eye-catching pictures will make your friends question whether you’re a professional photographer.
2. Newbury Street
If you’re a shopping addict, Newbury Street will be the new destination for your paycheck. Not only is it a great place to find new clothes from your favorite stores, but it’s also a street where all your envious emotions come out to play when you walk by all the high-end stores like Chanel and Prada. But beside shopping, Newbury Street is also a great place to capture photos of architecturally beautiful buildings and brick apartments . And how could we forget about that wall of graffiti across the street from Urban Outfitters? Buildings like these are begging to be on your Instagram.
3. Boston Harbor
There’s nothing better than walking the streets of Boston on a sunny summer day and ending up at the clear blue waters of the Boston Harbor. I love watching the boats coming in and out of the docks and taking pictures of the nautical scenery. Every preppy student in Boston will be sure to hit up Boston Harbor for an Instagram-worthy picture consisting of Vineyard Vines apparel, Sperry’s, and nice pair of Ray Bans.
4. Boston Common
I love sitting on a field of grass in the middle of a beautifully busy city. The Boston Common is a great place to lay down your picnic blanket and relax under the sun. It also has a picturesque bridge in the middle of it arching over a pond. With flowers surrounding the fields, there is no better place to get a vibrant nature pic that your Instagram has been waiting all winter for.
5. Faneuil Hall/ Quincy Market
One of Boston’s most historical landmarks is also one of the most popular Instagram locations on the map. It can be a little difficult to take a picture while trying to figure out which one of the countless dining options there are to choose from, but you have to “do it for the gram”. You can even take a picture of your actual food and post it; no one will judge because it’s a thing now. Whether it be a food picture or a picture of the scenery itself, you can’t go wrong.
Happy Instagram-ing!
