I cannot thank my dad enough for misreading the fresh ground almond butter label that one time at the grocery store in December. Nowadays, I will ONLY eat almond butter, here’s why:
Â
1. You can eat it on its own!
Â
After the one time I filled my dogs bone with peanut butter I couldn’t stand the smell of it and  could never eat it alone. But when I tried the almond butter for the first time on a spoon, I fell in love!
Â
2. It’s amazing with chocolate!
Â
Okay I will not argue that Reese’s are amazing, but have you ever had almond butter with chocolate? It’s thicker and creamier, somehow, all at the same time! It’s too good to be true…
Â
3. It’s slightly healthier!
Â
It has more fiber, less saturated fats, less carbs, AND less sugar. Although the difference isn’t a lot, it is enough to make a big difference in your daily caloric intake, and who doesn’t love that?
Â
4. It IS worth the price!
Â
Although I cannot agree with the taste of almond butter mentioned in the cartoon above, the cost is significantly more. When we get the fresh ground almond butter at home it costs $10 a pound, while the peanut butter is only $4 a pound. All I can say is that, for one time in my life, I can agree that paying more for something is worth it!
I hope that we were able to convince you to get almond butter the next time you are at the grocery store!
