Looking for some new ways to switch up your go-to look this fall? Why not try wearing a fun scarf in a different way? If you’re anything like me and have a mini-existential crisis every time you put on a scarf, this list is for you. This will make looking fashionable in the cooler weather a breeze. (Pun intended.)
Here’s a really simple style to get you started: the Classic Loop. This is probably the most popular way to tie a scarf, and for good reason—it’s easy, fun, and trendy! All you have to do is wrap the scarf around your neck, pull one end down slightly longer than the other, and wrap that end around your neck. Even I can’t mess this up! Here are some pictures to get you started:
One of my favorites is the French Knot, a style that’s basically the epitome of chic. Surprisingly, this is not nearly as complicated as it looks! Just fold your scarf in half, put it around your shoulders, take one loose end and pull it over and under the scarf loop. Do the same with the second loose end, and voila: Fashion!
If you can’t deal with knots and want a simple, timeless way to wear a scarf, look no further: the scarf wrap is for you! This style is by far the easiest to do. Just wrap your scarf around your shoulders, and get ready for your close-up!
On the other hand, if you’re looking to mix things up, try a braided style! Take a long scarf, and place it behind your neck, and knot it loosely. Then take the right end, cross over to the left, pull the loop over, and repeat with the left (basically, braid). Keep going until the ends are too short to loop, and then knot the short ends together!
Remember, don’t be daunted by the many ways to wear your scarves! They’re such a great accessory, because they’re extremely versatile and fun to play with. Keep your neck warm and your style game strong with your favorite scarf style!
