Whether you and and your SO are looking for somewhere new to go, your looking for somewhere cute to go on a first date, or you and your best friend are just trying to spend to quality time together, I’ve got some great spots around Atlanta for you to try out!

Beltline and Ponce City Market ($-$$)

I will admit, I did this one a lot on my own last year, but what can I say, Ponce City Market has just about everything you could ask for: great food, killer coffee, and extensive shopping options. But to be honest, it is significantly better to wander aimlessly with someone by your side. So grab yourself a coffee at either Spiller Park, Dancing Goats, or Revelator (check out their seasonal flavors!!!) and do some window shopping (or actual shopping, because lord knows there are plenty of temptations). If you don’t stay long, I highly recommend stopping by Citizen Supply for high quality variety of products by local artisans and Sugarboo for the cutest jewelry and knickknacks! Finally, if it’s a nice day head out on the beltline! Take a left and make your way down to Piedmont Park or a right and find yourself at Krog Street Market. An afternoon’s worth of activities and you can spend as little or as much money as you want and still enjoy yourself!

Brunch (21+ option) ($-$$)

First of all, if you don’t do brunch during the weekend you are doing your weekends wrong. Second of all, you’ve got to eat anyway so why not make a date out of it? Sleep in a little later and enjoy a leisurely morning. I highly recommend Flying Biscuit and Good Karma but there are extensive lists of great brunch places in the Atlanta area. But if you aren’t in the mood to leave your apartment whip up some of your favorite brunch items such as pancakes and quiche and do a breakfast and tv deal. Nothing better than cooking some breakfast together then cuddling into your couch with a hot coffee and watching reruns of friends.

Picnic at Piedmont ($)

Piedmont Park is the perfect setting for an afternoon picnic, and with Trader Joes right around the corner, it’s the perfect place to stock up on some goodies. Grab a bag of pretzels or crackers, raid their extensive cheese section, and add some fancy meat and you can pretend you’re enjoying a charcuterie board in a Parisian park. Don’t forget to pick up some macaroons to really seal the deal. Cue the “parisian chic.” playlist on Spotify.

Sporting Event

With an abundance of sports teams to occupy just about every season, find yourself some tickets to a Falcons or Hawks game! Even if you aren’t really into sports, it’s a fun environment and an excuse to eat junk food. Bring on the loaded French fries and burgers.

Painted Pin (21+) ($$$)

Sadly, you’ll have to wait until your 21 for this one, but it will definitely be worth the wait. Painted Pin is a boujee bowling alley with a bar and an array of other games ranging from ping pong and basketball to darts and bocce ball. A little on the pricey side, so if you double date or take some extra girlfriends along you can split the lane price multiple ways for a cheaper trip!

Topgolf ($$$)

I just had my first experience at Topgolf last week and it was definitely a good time! Helpful hint, Tuesdays are half off! Along the lines of the Painted Pin, take a group to ease the pain in your wallet, plus you won’t feel as bad about spending that money you saved on some chicken and waffle sliders or guacamole.

Any of the Food Festivals ($)

Last year I went to the yoga and food truck festival at Old Fourth Ward Park and it couldn’t have made for a more perfect Saturday. What more could you want than an abundance of food options and the beautiful backdrop of Atlanta. Keep an eye on Facebook because they are always posting new events such as the Cheese Festival or International Night Market.

Roof at Ponce

I have heard nothing but good things about this place (except for the fact that you have to pay for everything)! Mini golf, the skyline slide, and carnival games are enough to keep you entertained all night! With in spite of the price, the amazing views of the Atlanta skyline will definitely make it a worthwhile experience!

So grab your plus one and head out into Atlanta to do some exploring!

Most likely doing all of this with a cup of coffee in her hand.
