The Gift Guide to Save You This Holiday Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Whether because it’s been a crazy year or because you simply forgot, we’ve all been there: late to the holiday shopping game. This year especially, the holidays have seemed to sneak up on us, without even a slight caution of the impending gift-giving season that has quickly approached. But, have no fear, the ultimate last minute gift guide is here to save your holiday season with a few quick and easy gifts.

  1. For mom: Surprise them with a sentimental framed picture of special people in their lives. Remind her of all of the good memories with this one-of-a-kind gift.

  1. For dad: Grab an old t-shirt of his favorite team or alma mater and easily make it into a fun throw pillow. He will be so impressed with your crafty skills, at the same time as being able to rep his favorite school or team. You can’t go wrong with this one.

  1. For a brother: Find a game or puzzle that they’re bound to love. It could be anything from a new one that you haven’t heard of or an old classic that you both used to enjoy.

  1. For a sister: Put together a spa kit with face masks, nail polish, coloring pages, and even a candle. You can even go to your local dollar store if you’re shopping on a budget.

  1. For a BFF: Friends are family too! Write a few heartfelt “Open when…” letters for the special occasions coming up in their life. This easy and free gift is an amazing way to show your friend you love and care for them.

These are just a few of the many last-minute gift ideas to help you this holiday season. Remember, it’s the thought that counts, and I’m sure that special someone will love whichever gifts you end up giving this holiday season.
