Ah, trick-or-treating on the row. Unfortunately due to a certain athletic obligation, I was not able to attend this year’s parade of trick-or-treaters marching from fraternity door to fraternity door. Fortunately for me, my eyes and ears all along the golden brick road kept me up to date on the scene that I was missing. I imagine it goes something like this:
Trick-or-treat, sexy minx, give me something good to drink… if you don’t, (I kinda care,) OH WELL, guess I’ll just wear just some underwear.
Just like my revamp of this childhood rhyme, Emory girls all over campus pulled out their favorite childhood costume ideas… with a couple tweaks. Substitute wallet on a chain for pumpkin with a handle, and spandex and lingerie for long princess ballgown costumes…and you can pretty accurately imagine the sight that boys all over campus covet every year.Â
Need we say more? Let’s reminisce on some of Emory’s finest costumes from this year’s Hallows Eve (and the entire weekend surrounding it, because Halloween is too much fun for just one night, right?).
First and foremost, shoutout to these sexy ghosts, to whom I congratulate and applaud for their satirical interpretation of the Halloween costume. You do you.Â
Looking for a group costume a little on the conservative side? Want something to really “hold it all in?” Human solo cups. Genius. Think of all the human beer pong possibilities!
Every girl who was born in the ’90s appreciates the value of the many phases of Britney…
Among one of the most used costumes this year was baby North West. Why? How about the simplicity of pinning a compass to an LBD. Smart ladies.Â
Another popular option? It’s a staple every year: the sexy kitten. And another shoutout to Peyton Ginzel for her fabulous artwork on her face during Halloweekend every year.Â
Yet another 90’s girl fave…the Spice Girls.Â
Literally, “party animals.” Love it.Â
A little Jack and Coke never hurt anyone.
Thanks to all these ladies for their committed effort on their costumes this year! And remember, it’s never too early to start planning for next year’s Halloweekend…
