No matter where you’ve been ( frat, club…library) or who you’re with,  you’ll no doubt find yourself at the one and only “Mags” before you call it a night. Let’s face it, everybody who’s anybody can be spotted at Maggie’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill. However, non-Emory students might be surprised to learn that it’s not the vibrant social scene that keeps us flocking to Maggie’s night after night, it’s the bouncers! Catch up with Mason, one of our favorite faces to see on the weekends!
Name: Mason Jenkins
Hometown: ATL, GA
Zodiac Sign: Aries
Her Campus Emory (HCE): How did you end up working at Maggie’s?
Mason Jenkins (MJ): I had worked at Famous years ago before I joined the Marines and after I got out, Maggie’s was short a door guy.
HCE: What is the most exciting part of your job?
MJ: There isn’t really an “exciting” part to the job.
HCE: What is you favorite night of the week to work and why?
MJ: The nights I work are pretty much the same.
HCE: How did Emory students become so acquainted with the bar?
MJ: My understanding is geographical convenience. Apparently when it first opened in the early 90’s, Maggie’s was more of a biker bar, but that was before my time.
HCE: Describe yourself in 3 words.
MJ: Bad at following directions.
HCE: If you could have any other job in the world, what would it be?
MJ: I’ve always wanted to be a bouncer in a bar on the moon.
HCE: Tell us anything about Maggie’s Neighborhood Bar and Grill that people don’t already know!
MJ: I think if anything, people know too much about Maggie’s.
