When Yogurt Tap closed, I was devastated. It had been my favorite froyo place in Atlanta and was so convenient to campus. I knew I needed to find a new place to get my dessert fix that was both delicious and convenient to Emory. Although I may never taste the perfection that is Almond Butter froyo again, these places are able to satisfy my cravings.
Yogli Mogli
Located in the Virginia Highlands, this tasty froyo joint is close to Emory and delicious! Those who were here last year may remember its former location at Emory Village and know that Yogli is a quick and easy way to get your froyo fix. Set up similarly to Yogurt Tap, you are able to fill up the cup with yogurt and toppings yourself. You can decide exactly how much cookie dough you want on your favorite flavor of yogurt!
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt
Located in Toco Hills, Menchie’s is nearby and amazing! With a variety of flavors and toppings, Menchie’s will satisfy any froyo craving you may have.
Butter and Cream
Although this may not be froyo, Butter and Cream is a delicious ice cream store located in Decatur right across the street from Yogurt Tap’s ex-location. Butter and Cream also steps up their dessert game by offering not only regular ice cream but also ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, root beer floats and other tasty treats like brownies and cakes. In other words, it’s a dessert lover’s paradise.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams
If your favorite Yogurt Tap flavors were the less traditional ones like Almond Butter, then Jeni’s is the place for you! Also in Decatur, Jeni’s provides unique ice cream flavors that will satisfy your more adventurous ice cream side.
Although I will never forget Yogurt Tap, these froyo and ice cream stores are great alternatives that are just as convenient to Emory and help me get my ice cream fix.
