Summer is quickly approaching, and when the weather starts to get warm I love to take my DIY’s outside into the sun! Since warm weather is here, it was 85 degrees today, I figured I would put together an easy DIY that anyone can do! Watermelon mason jars, you can use as mini flower pots, pencil holders and even to give as gifts. Personally, watermelon accessories just put me in the summer mood, so here is what you will need.Â
- Mason Jar
- 1 Spool of Twine 1.5 mmÂ
- Light Pink Paint
- Dark green, Light Gree PaintÂ
- 3 regular paint brushsÂ
- Black Paint
- Thin Tipped Paint BrushÂ
- Start by putting painters tap along the middle of the mason jar to create a clear line, then continue by painting the top half of the mason jar pink.
- Then let top half dryÂ
- Remove tape, and put a fresh layer of tape over the dried pink layer, in order to create a clean line where the green paint will meet the pink.Â
- Paint bottom layer green, optional:Â add stripes for an extra touch
- Once the green has dried remove the tape and then paint seeds on the pink part.Â
- Once finished and it has completely dried, tie twine across the top for a final touch
