Top 5 YouTubers to get me Through Quarantine
Selia Potas
Oh, good ol’ quarantine. During these unusual times, I’ve spent countless of hours binging tv shows and movies as my main form of entertainment. Often times, I find it difficult for me to multitask as I work, but, there’s a solution. Instead of getting drawn into a lengthy movie or 20+ episode season, I go to Youtube. This is great for when I need a pick-me-up or a distraction from my heavy workload… plus, they are a great way to get a quick laugh in without human interaction. So, with that said, here are my favorite YouTubers that I would 10/10 recommend to get you through Quarantine :)
- Maddie Dragsbaek

I’ve been a subscriber and lover of Maddie since 2014 and I am proud to say I can rely on her as both a good friend and a form of entertainment. No matter what kind of video she makes, whether it’s a storytime, a travel video, or just her being her naturally goofy self, she never fails to put a smile on my face. Maddie is not only humorous, but she makes meaningful content that helps share her passions and beliefs and is an advocate for people without a voice. At the root of it all, Maddie is just a beautiful person inside and out and it really shows in her youtube videos. I would’ve never thought that I’d end up being good friends with what I believe is the best and coolest YouTuber in all of the history. She uses her platform in so many ways that it’s hard to not love her the instant you watch one video. Go check her out, you won’t regret it.
- Brooke Bush

I’ve been a big fan of Brooke since I saw her on my recommended videos during my sophomore year of high school. She wasn’t insanely popular which made me like her even more because her content was so laid back. Brooke has such uplifting content as she shares what her everyday life is like. The best part of her videos is the relationship she has with her family, especially her siblings. Their banter and unique relationships are so fun to watch from an outside perspective. She’s from Kentucky, and you can tell simply from her accent and lifestyle that she is a sweet southern belle with a fun side who just likes to laugh — her laugh makes me laugh. Every. Single. Time. Don’t believe me? Go listen to her laugh yourself… you won’t regret it.
- Sarah Baska
-
Sarah is my literal icon. She is a free-spirited, fun-loving girl from Oregon who now lives in Cali and lemme tell ya, she is just a hoot. Her older videos are so nostalgic for me as they are about her life and the crazy things that happen to her. She makes ridiculous skits up and is a big one direction fan (like myself) so I find myself feeling very similar towards her perspective as a big music fan. Not to mention, she sings. If I had to summarize Sarah and her channel as a whole, I would say Sarah is the younger female version of Cody Ko… how can you not love that?
- Cody Ko
-
Which brings me to the king himself, Mr. Ko. If I’m being honest, his videos have been making me laugh a lot lately… like a lot. He’s always been a comedic genius, but lately, his content has been quite epic. If you are unfamiliar with him, here is your heads up- his comedy is very dry (but it makes for great content). I am a big fan of him and his girlfriend, Kelsey, and their content together. Cody talks about relevant topics, especially TikTok, so you already know his videos are about to be good.
- Kristin Johns

If you’re looking for softer and sweeter content for a relaxing evening, look no further. Her aesthetically pleasing videos and lifestyle makes me want to get married, buy a quaint house and fluffy dogs and forget about the world. She is just the sweetest person and her videos really show her for who she is. Overall, her videos are just so calming and peaceful to watch and seeing her lifestyle with her husband, Marcus Johns, who was once famous on Vine (rip) is just a great video for cooking, clothing, or lifestyle content which never hurts:
That’s all I got :) Stay tuned for more content by seal… Stay Safe, healthy, and sane!
