The Workout Apps I’m Using During Quarantine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Endicott chapter.

Since we can’t go to the gym during this stressful time here’s a list of my favorite at home workout apps.

Fitbit

If you have a Fitbit you can challenge your friends, track steps, workouts, sleep patterns and so much more. I currently have the Fitbit Versa 2  but before I had the original Fitbit Flex and it works just as well but with less features.

Runkeeper

My uncle showed me this free app for running and I will never use another app. I use this app to train for everything from a 5k to a half marathon. One of the features I like is the goal setting feature where you can set pretty much any goal you like, for example wanting to run four times a week. You can also connect it to your phone so it will automatically track walks or bike rides too. Just like with fitbit you can add friends on it.

Sworkit

Sworkit is another free app and is perfect for when you wanna do a short workout. It offers cardio and strength workouts, and also yoga and stretching. You can choose the length of the workout, anywhere from 5-60 minutes. The nice thing about this app is you don’t need any equipment.

Yoga with Adriene: Yoga Under 15 Minutes

After all your working out it is important to stretch! I love this 15 minute guided yoga video on Amazon Prime Video. There are multiple episodes so you can stretch different parts of the body. I’m not really a yoga person but this is just short enough to keep my attention on it.
