Ok, so I’m not the best when it comes to makeup – my skills barely extend to an acceptable flick of eyeliner. But when it comes to Halloween, anything goes really. I decided to get some cheap face painting kits and show you just how easy it is to get into the Halloween spirit on a student budget, at the last minute, and for anyone that doesn’t want to make too much of an effort. I got mine from Wilko’s in Falmouth, but seeing as the basic colours are white, black, red and orange, you could probably recreate these three looks with what’s already in your makeup bag.Â
1. Day of the DeadÂ
This one is probably my favourite, because I like pretty Halloween costumes as opposed to the gory and horrible ones. I used the stickers provided in my kit for the eyes, but you could achieve the same effect with red and black makeup pencils.
2. Evil Pumpkin
Maybe not evil evil, because it’s not particularly scary, but you get the gist. If you don’t fancy the orange, go for a Jack Skellington face, or the teech and jawbones of a simple skull.
3. Classic Kitten
Not the cutest of kittens, or fiercest of felines, but I did my best I promise! Also, I’m aware the whiskers are in the wrong place, Instagram lied to me.Â
Happy Halloween!
