If you’re looking for some nostalgia, a warm-hearted animation, or just want to feel like a kid for the day, Brave is a great film to enjoy on International Women’s Day. Whilst this 2009 film did not go down well with critics upon release, since the #MeToo movement it has surged in popularity, earning the status as a cult classic. Whilst Jennifer’s Body can be referred to as a Horror film it also contains some hilarious tongue-in-cheek moments with a healthy mix of satire as well. Telling the story of the popular mean-girl turned man-eating succubus, if you’re in the mood for a somewhat scary, feminist film then this is the choice for you!

This popular 2019 re-telling of Louisa May Alcott’s famous novel is a perfect movie to watch this International Women’s Day.
