Just fourty miles south of the Arctic Circle, The Tree Hotel offers guests the unique opportunity to completely absorb themselves within nature, whilst still enjoying the comforts of a luxury hotel. With glass-paneled rooms suspended between four and six meters above the ground, each room gives an unspoiled view of the surroundings.Â
The hotel currently has five rooms, each with their own design. There are also five more rooms being created. For those that want a bit more of a modern feel to their holiday, the design work of the UFO room is contemporary and unique.Â
On the other hand, the camouflaged exterior of The Bird’s Nest room is designed to completely blend into the surroundings. Although the theme of each room differs, the panoramic views offered by all mean that during winter, guests can even watch the northern light from the comfort of their own beds.
Staying in such a unique hotel does not mean guests have to miss out on luxuries. Swedish home cooked food is served for everyone, and the rooms all have under floor heating. There is even a tree sauna!

If you’re in search of something a bit more active, there’s plenty to do in the local area. In the Forest of Harads you can go horse riding, mountainbiking, ziplining and even dog sledge riding in winter! If water based activities are more your thing, the nearby Lule river is the perfect place. It provides opportunities for fishing, ice fishing in winter and kayaking.

If you’re looking for something a bit different for your next holiday, then The Tree Hotel is definitely for you. There are very few places where you can find such a magical combination of luxury accommodation, stunning architecture and sensational views.
