Ben’s Bands at Sustainability House

Ben’s Bands at the Sustainability House

This past Friday, the monthly Ben’s Bands concert was held at a different location than usual. This month’s installment of Ben’s Bands was co-hosted by WFNM and the Sustainability House, one of Franklin & Marshall’s off-campus houses on West James, so instead of playing in Ben’s Underground, the concert was held in the Sustainability House basement. The event was eagerly anticipated all week by the student body, because the change of venue promised a hip new scene and new bands.

Many people attended throughout the night. The bands began going on stage around eight and it lasted until a little before eleven. Attendance varied at different times, but there were always many people listening to the bands or talking and hanging out in the area off of the main room in the basement.

The line up for the night was:

Capo 6 – a student group who’s members are: Aditya Chawla ’18, Elisabeth Grace Hare ’18, Christopher Eaton ’18, Papa Nii Vanderpuye ’18, Chief John Vanderpuye ’18, and Dominic Akena ’16

Younger Me – a rock n roll band from Red Lion, PA

Blood Sound – a new wave punk band from Philadelphia

The night was a complete success! Every month, lots of students attend Ben’s Bands and always have a great time. Whether it’s listening to great music, dancing with their friends, or just hanging out, students love the concerts by local musicians. It’s an awesome tradition that will hopefully continue for a long time.
