Miss Catherine Grady ‘19
HC: Intended major?
CG: Animal Behavior
HC: Hometown?
CG: Birmingham, Alabama.
HC: Franklin and Marshall Activities?
CG: I’m involved with club soccer, and I volunteer at the vivarium; I love working with the monkeys. I think it’s really interesting to see the similarities between monkeys and humans. Monkeys are social creatures just like we are. I also love going to the Shabbat dinners at Hillel, but I’m not actually Jewish. Foot 2015. And I love exploring downtown Lancaster; Central Market is my favorite place.
HC: Describe yourself in three words?
CG:
1. Stubborn
2. Sassy
3. Quirky
HC: What are you passionate about?
CG: Staying active and being healthy.
HC: Personal success story?
CG: I have trained for two half marathons, but I was only able to run in one of the two. Last weekend, on October 25th 2015, I ran in the Ocktober Fest half marathon in Philadelphia.
HC: Do you have any tips for aspiring half-marathon runners?
CG: Find someone to run it with, after a while it can get boring running by yourself. Make sure you have good running shoes, and listen to music!!! Personally, I like to listen to a book on tape. Find a running schedule and stick to it.
HC: Why do you like running?
CG: It’s where I am able to relax and be on my own. It’s how I get rid of and release stress. When I have a hard day, I especially go for a run; I have to get all my negative energy out before I can concentrate on my schoolwork.
HC: Motivational quote?
CG: Find your passion and go for it.
HC: What makes you happiest?
CG: Cooking, it’s so much fun!! I really like going out and finding an adventure too.
