10 Things We Learned From Watching the Super Bowl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

While many collegiettes aren’t usually inclined to devote four plus hours to watching a game of football, the Super Bowl is an exception. And yesterday, the New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in the nail biting championship game. Even if football isn’t your thing, by actually investing in the game yesterday there were many things to be learned. Here are a few:

1. The Super Bowl is the Sunday Funday of all Sunday Fundays.

2. Finger food is the best type of food.

3.  Football is fun to watch when you’re with the right crowd.

4. Your guy friends probably appreciated that you watched the whole game. And don’t worry, it was totally okay to ask all of those questions.

5. The commercials are actually worth watching. Did anyone else tear up at the Budweiser add with the puppy?

6. But the halftime show is by far the best break from the game. Katy Perry may have been even better to look at than the football players’ butts. (Those sharks though? Maybe not)

AND MISSY ELLIOT IS BACK.

7. You can make some type of contribution in a post Super Bowl conversation. After all, it is the most-watched TV event ever.

8. And last, but certainly not least, Tom Brady is a total stud.

9. And his celebratory dance was adorable.

10. So, even though some of us may look like this when we actually try to play football….

…..watching the Super Bowl is much easier and definitely worth it.
