An edgy new mysterious drama that is in the middle of its first season on NBC! This crime series is about an unidentified woman who is discovered in Times Square, naked, and covered in mysterious tattoos. The name of an FBI agent Kurt Weller is one of the many tattoos on her body then the FBI soon realize that each tattoo on her body leads to a crime they are trying to solve. Simultaneously, they get closer to finding out who she is and where she came from. Binge-worthy for the winter!Â
2. Unreal
Any Bachelor and Bachelorette fans out there? This critically acclaimed show airing on Lifetime will blow your mind and perspective on ABC’s hit reality series. The show follows a young reality TV producer working under her unscrupulous boss. They produce a bachelor-esque show call Everlasting, and together, they try to create the best drama between the women and their bachelor. The young producer, Rachel pulls out all the stops to create outrageous drama and manipulate contestants. This new series was created by Sarah Gertrude Shapiro who previously was a producer on The Bachelor. She definitely gives us the ultimate behind-the-scenes perspective.Â
3. Making A Murderer
This new documentary series on Netflix has the whole nation on its feet. If you haven’t heard about it, the series follows the criminal case against Manitowoc County, Wisconsin resident Steven Avery, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beernsten. He was later exonerated in 2003 after DNA evidence proved his innocence. In 2005, Avery found himself behind bars again, this time after being accused of the murder of Teresa Halbach, a photographer who was apparently last seen on his property. The series has stirred up nation-wide controversy, with more than 128,000 signatures to pardon Avery from this crime! Obama has stated he does not have the authority to act in a case at the state level, which has people talking about the current justice system. Netflix also put the first episode of the series on YouTube.
4. Jane The Virgin
Not a new show, but going into its second season, Jane The Virgin is as good as it gets these days. The telenovela inspired dramedy is about Jane Villanueva, a driven young woman with a vow to save her virginity until she was artificially inseminated. Her life takes some twists and turns as she falls in and out of love while she is pregnant. Season 1 is on Netflix, so what are you waiting for??
