Spring semester is full swing and after a great winter break it’s time to jump back into your busy lives as college students. It can be a little difficult to get back in the groove of things after relaxing, working, and spending time with friends and family for a month. But have no fear –  we are here to help you get over those post syllabus week blues! Here are 5 ways to get back into school mode after a long break:
1. Get a planner
Yes, one of the most basic suggestions is to get a planner. But seriously, they really help. Whether it be one of those colorful Lily Pulitzer ones or even a white board to put in your dorm, visually seeing what’s to come allows you to be more focused with your time management on projects, papers, and tests.
2. Make an awesome playlist to listen to while you do work
Everyone has their own tunes that get them hyped, concentrated, and ready to go. Creating a playlist for you to jump into work at the lib will make it that much less painful.
3. Find a study buddy
Trying to get work done by yourself can be a little tricky. We have all experienced those times when we have been in the lib for hours by ourselves and yet we have gotten absolutely nothing done. Going with a friend or two can help you all focus and succeed by helping each other out.
4. Create a vision board
A vision board is a tool to help those concentrate and focus on specific goals in their life. It is an actual board that can display images of anything that you could possibly want to achieve. Putting this in a place you see every day will remind you of what you would like to achieve this semester and give you that extra motivation to do it.
5. Get into a routine

Get back in the swing of things with a routine that works for you. Looking over your schedules and making time for yourself will allow you to become more in tune with this semester’s vibes. You’re going to do great!
Don’t sweat the small stuff this semester, and like the famous Elle Woods said, “You must always have faith in yourself.”
