Ariana Grande Finally Speaks Out After Split from Pete Davidson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

For the past couple of months, the latest celebrity relationship trend has been getting engaged. However, by the looks of it, Ariana Grande and SNL star Pete Davidson just could not make it work.

On October 14th, TMZ reported that the couple had broken up after five months of dating. During their relationship, Ariana released a new album ‘Sweetener’. The release of the album was followed by the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, which many have speculated contributed to her decision to end things with Davidson. Details of the split have been leaked,  such as how Pete Davidson got to keep the ring but Ariana obtained custody of their pet pig, Piggy Smalls.

Pete has since commented jokingly on the situation while attending a comedy show titled “Judd & Pete for America,” where he asked the audience if anyone needed a roommate since he is no longer sharing an apartment with Grande.

Meanwhile, after recently performing for NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween, Ariana addressed her Instagram followers by saying “ok today was v special and i’m so grateful i was able to be there. time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit. it’s hard not to bump news n stuff that i’m not tryna to see rn. it’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep goin. love u. and thank u for bein here always”. Ariana has been open about her mental health struggles since the Manchester Bombing, but we can only hope that her and Pete have closure in light of recent events.
