In a perfect world, beauty would not be a concrete ideal set by societal pressures and women of all ages would be able to embrace their individuality and diversity with confidence. As collegiettes, we have the power to inspire each other to be proud of the differences that make each of us unique.
Mihaela Noroc, creator of The Atlas of Beauty is currently 30 years old from Bucharest, Romania. She is living out her passion of capturing the diverse beauty of women from across the globe through this project. By spending her savings on traveling to 37 countries, she has photographed different women in their natural and authentic environment to prove that beauty is universal.
“I love the variety of earth and the diversity of people and I try to go beyond their surface, to discover their sincere and authentic side, to photograph it,” she said. Noroc’s goal is to continue traveling and expand this project and make it an inspiration for women of all ages to be their beautiful individual selves.
Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, from where we stand as collegiettes, we believe that it doesn’t matter who is defining beauty because it can be found in everyone from everywhere.
