Collegiettes, it’s not uncommon for us to try to get all of our required credits done. Fulfilling all of the requirements can be ~super stressful~; however, there are some classes you should try whether required for you or not.
1.Argument and Advocacy
This class is the introduction class for all Comm majors. Even if you’re not studying Communications as either a major or a minor, this class can be super useful for you. This entire purpose of this class is to make you a more effective public speaker. Public speaking is terrifying, yet incredibly useful once you learn how to do it.
2.Any Writing Class
You may have heard this before, but writing skills are important no matter what you do. It’s one of the main ways we communicate, especially this day and age. Employers also are constantly looking for those who can write well. Fairfield has a variety of writing classes that you will be able to choose from.
3.Intro to American Politics
You either love or hate politics. Whatever your opinion is, politics impact our everyday lives. Intro to American Politics will teach you how our government works at a basic level. As citizens, it is incredibly important for all of us to be informed of what is happening within the government.
4.An Upper-Level Language Course
It’s part of our Fairfield Core to reach a certain level of a language. Many of us stop after fulfilling the requirement. In our globalized world, it’s beneficial to gain a firmer grasp of a language. In addition, learning a language exposes us to other cultures, which helps us to better understand other people.
5.Art Class
Learning a new skill, especially within art, can be gratifying. It can be a great experience while making you a more well-rounded person. Art can be tough at times because it does require skill; however, do not let that scare you off.
School can be stressful, but it’s safe to say that there are classes that can help you in the long run. Keep up the good work, ladies.
