It’s finally that time of year. Classes have come to an end and soon finals will be a thing of the past as well. I think I speak for all underclassmen when I say we can’t wait to get out of our 10×12 cinder block dungeons, I mean rooms, and get the summer started…until we realize that means packing is in our near future.
You start off by telling yourself you’ll be organized and pack a little each day
But then you realize that everything takes priority over packing, like sleep, Netflix and food.
Soon enough it’s the end of finals week and not a single bag has been packed
You scramble the day before you have to move out and try to cram a week’s worth of packing into one hour.
You stumble upon some things you TOTALLY forgot about
…like that sandwich
… or all twelve of the shirts you borrowed from your roommate (she moved out yesterday)
You decide it’s easier to just throw things in your bag instead of folding them to save time
But then the inevitable happens: your bag doesn’t close
So you settle for trash bag suitcases and call it a day
And you rejoice looking at your empty room
Then suddenly you get emotional about the year coming to an end
But then, you’re finally ready to go. Peace out, dorm!
