The Emotional Stages of Finding out Kate Middleton is Coming to New York City

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Fairfield chapter.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced their plans to visit to New York City this December. Their three short days in the states will be filled with joy and excitement, and their itinerary already seems to be pretty packed. The duo will attend a Brooklyn Nets game and promote various charity events. Here are the emotional stages of discovering the great news.

The Duchess is coming! The Duchess is coming!

OK, stay calm. How does she get her hair to look so perfect? I’m going to find her and ask her.

*Cries because she’s so beautiful and royal*

What show-stopping outfit is she going to arrive in?

I’m not a Nets fan, but should I buy game tickets just to say I was in the same location as her? Then, we can watch the game together and make crazy faces.

Is that creepy?

Hey, Kate! I live in Connecticut, so can’t you just like come here for five seconds? It’s basically right around the corner. Can you bring me as a guest to one of your charity events? I would do anything.

Is Prince George coming too? What about Pippa? Can you bring her just for fun?

If I ever saw you, Kate, I would actually freak out.

Your majesty, what is it like being the most perfect human being to walk the face of the Earth?
